Solar Support's 2020 Year-In-Review

What a year! Together with our customers and partners, the Solar Support team buckled down during tough times to accomplish great things.

We're excited to bring these accomplishments into 2021. Here are our Top 10 Wins:

1. TRIPLED OUR REVENUE

As a small company entering a big space we are pleased to report strong growth across our specialized O&M, parts procurement and engineering services for utility PV plant owners.

Delivering equipment and plant reliability services during a pandemic took ingenuity and extra care - but we did it! Talk to us about improving performance across your PV portfolio.

2. SIGNED ON 9 NEW CUSTOMERS

4. LAUNCHED PLANT RECOVERY SOLUTION

Few in the industry have the experience and specialized capabilities to restore plants damaged by extreme weather.

We've saved clients millions of dollars in avoided production losses and equipment replacement costs. Watch our video to see how we do it. Download our whitepaper for wining recovery strategies.

5. SECURED PARTS SUPPLY

Our strategic agreements with partners like SEMIKRON lets us replace inverter components quickly and cost-effectively.

Our team works hard to source or refurbish the right part at the right time. With custom-tailored O&M plans, we also help operators stay ahead of common failures. Review our components for future needs.

6. ROLLED-OUT PREDICTIVE O&M PROGRAM

Our diagnostic equipment maintenance program uses analytics to assess the health of central inverters. We analyze inverter data to evaluate components, pinpoint looming issues and failure trends.

This allows plant managers to identify and source the right parts for rapid repairs. And unlike alternatives that can take days, Solar Support customers can correct root causes in under 24 hours.

7. LAUNCHED CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR OEMs

This year we spearheaded a new service allowing inverter manufacturers to outsource they customer service. Our OEM customers are reaping the benefits of enhanced customer service, operational flexibility and lower costs.

"Treating our installation partners with the highest care while lowering our service costs creates the ultimate win-win.” Jing Tian, country manager, Ginlong Solis. More

8. SURPASSED 1M+ VISITORS TO OUR PORTAL

We started Solar Support with a strong mission: to create value in the solar community through a free and open equipment solutions portal.

Our knowledge base provides diagnostics for over 800 fault codes across 12 inverter brands. With users from around the world, our database continues to grow! Visit our portal.

9. HOSTED A SOLAR VET FELLOW

In partnership with The Solar Foundation, SEIA and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, we hosted a Solar Ready Vet Fellow during a 12-week job training program.

Being part of Hiring Our Heroes was an enriching experience and furthered our purpose to help servicemembers transition into solar. See Solar Vet Shalique Williams with Project Manager Noel Myers (left) and Founder Auston Taber (right).

10. INSPIRED DONORS TO JOIN HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER

Our team, partners and customers joined our annual holiday giving campaign with Watts Of Love. This non-profit brings solar-powered lights to entrepreneurs and families in developing countries.

Together we helped illuminate the path out of poverty for 80 families -- helping them save $140k in avoided kerosene fuel, removing 180 tons of CO2 out of the global atmosphere and providing light for kids to learn after dark.
